About The TV Pilot Filming took place over the week end of 1st July 2006, for an Irish version of Haunted Ireland.
Mediums, Colette Lumsden, Alan Maher and COWL leader Mark Impey, were filmed doing accurate readings, trance and spirit rescue, later they were filmed walking around the house picking up paranormal activity and events held by residual energy.  The former owner of the house who crossed over in the 1990's came through in one of the readings, and things were revealed that were later revealed as accurate. Moving orbs were caught on camera, and a few of the mediums and film crew were touched and pushed by spirit entities. The location was changed at the last moment as the production team and Alan Maher felt the original castle hosts were not greatly interested in promoting the programme in a spiritualist context, so instead the mediums arrived at the lovely Springfield House, County Kildare in Ireland, unaware of where they were going to, and unaware of the history of such a beautiful 250 year old Manor House. When arriving Mark picked up in his minds eye, six children running down the front steps of the house, the current owner of the house confirmed later that she had six children and promptly showed a photograph of them to the mediums and film crew. The mediums picked up on other paranormal happenings, including a well known writer had lived in the house at some time in the past, the death of a baby and a controversy surrounding that. Also of a fire where walls had to be demolished, and that contraband items and fire arms had been hidden in the cellar and secret passage ways in years gone by, all of which were later confirmed.
One of the mediums guides 'Sam', said the day before filming there would be fireworks, indeed there was, when the next night, just before midnight there was a ferocious thunder storm for the next hour or so whilst filming commenced. The film will be edited/cut with in the next four weeks, don't want to spoil the fun by saying much more so watch this space. That night every body finally got to bed at gone 3am in the morning very tired, but satisfied. Mark flew back to Stansted airport in the UK later that day. He commented 'that was a weekend I will never forget for as long as I live, meeting and working with such lovely people was also a great pleasure, especially in such a lovely peaceful place, it is also a great opportunity to promote spiritualism and for people to realise that our conscious, personality, emotions, love, feelings even fears and memories go on from the physical, the weekend definately proved that beyond doubt' !!               |
