About Our Founder

Our founder, Marc Impey has been a medium for almost five years now. He was a member of Lin Marshal's Monday night circle at the Messengers Of Light Sanctuary in Hayes Middlesex.

DoveMarc developed his mediumistic gifts quite fast under Lins tutorage, and was on platform giving messages after four months after joining Lins circle. Marc explains, "we were attending a ‘fledglings’ service at a church some where in North London, I believe it was in Barnett somewhere. there I was for the first time standing on platform in front of so many faces that I had never seen before in my life, suddenly I felt a pull, if that’s what you could call it towards a woman sitting at the back of the church, and said to her can you understand the name Jason, and this person being close around you, yes the woman replied, I found myself saying, he will come back to you, yes I expect he will said the woman, he has done so before he was my recent boyfriend. I then described what I saw in my mind, a vision/description of the spirit who was giving the message to the woman, the lady replied that’s how my Grandma looked to a ‘T’.


I was quite shocked but happy after giving my very first platform message, although it wasn’t a long message it was however accurate enough, I felt it was really nice re-uniting her Grandma with her, though I don’t know what happened to Jason as I never met the sitter again".


Marc has found himself in some funny situations during his spiritual journey, twice he explains, "I was at a Tony Stockwell Lin & Marknight the first was at Southall Working Mans Club, the second time it was at Hayes Social Club, unfortunately Tony was late, I think he got caught up in traffic on the motorway, at Southall Working Mans Club three other mediums and myself were asked would we mind filling in before Tony arrived, this we did, I was asked to say the opening prayer, and was the second medium on, I had only been a medium for around two years and I just stood there in front of a crowd of about 250 people, so many expectant faces, waiting for messages, and me thinking “oh my God so many people and I had nothing to give” all of a sudden I felt the strong presence of an elderly gentleman, and felt drawn towards a woman sitting right at the back of the hall in the corner of all places, giving the description of the gentleman the lady accepted him as her Father, as I was speaking the presence of a young boy drew near, and the words came “I was killed in a road accident coming home from school, can you tell my mum that I am ok now and happy with my dad’, an image of the accident scene flashed into my mind and I was able to describe the colour of his satchel bag laying on the floor, and other things relating to his crossing, the lady accepted all of this information as true, all I could feel was the love coming from this child who had crossed over in such a tragic way. This experience was so humbling.

The second time was at Hayes Social Club, a fellow medium John and my self were asked if we would start things rolling as Tony had got lost, I can remember it was an evening of torrential rain so it was no wonder, as well as that the venue was a bit out of the way. John and myself gave a message each then Tony arrived, during the interval I had my photo taken with Tony, when the film was later developed a massive orb was seen smack bang in the middle of us, shows how close spirit were, even during the interval".

Funny things have happened to Marc and as he explains spirit do work in funny ways, I was coming home from a shopping stint on a bus with heavy shopping bags, I said to my guide Sam help me these bags weigh a ton, as the bus drew to a halt and Marc got off the bus, an empty shopping trolley which had been dumped was waiting for Marc, thanking spirit for the unexpected help Marc wheeled the bag filled trolley down the road to his home, then phoned the local Tesco store to report an abandoned trolley.

Marc continues his story, a week later I was returning home on a bus and thought to myself I would really love to have a drink of pepsi, haven’t drank that for ages, I was really thirsty at the time, all of a sudden an unopened can of pepsi rolled under my feet from the back of the bus.


These are just a few of many occasions when spirit have made there presence and love felt, it was just amazing, and I was just ‘gobsmacked’ to say the least.

Recently I had a dream of owning a border collie dog, a breed that I have always respected for it’s intelligence and companionship, less than a week later an acquaintance said to me would you like to have a dog, only I have just got a new dog, and my wife doesn’t really want it as it has started jumping up at our young children frightening them, what breed is it I replied, a border collie came the reply…I am now a proud owner of a border collie puppy.
I really am amazed with what spirit gives over in messages, they certainly have a sense of humour, well after all they are still people as such, with personalities.
I can remember spirit saying to some one during a reading that I was giving at North London Spiritualist Church near Hornsea Road, about a red blanket on an aircraft, and about something untoward happening with this, the spirit person was a bit disapproving but was also laughing about it, the sitter in the congregation went red, laughed and said yes I had a small blanket put on me as I was on a long haul flight asleep, afterwards I nicked the blanket and took it home with me.
Another funny story was when I was doing platform at the now defunct Messengers of Light Church in Hayes, spirit showed me a pie and then a tin of dog food, I put two and two together and said to the lady, who I was relaying the message to in the audience, who cooked a dog food pie for someone, red faced she admitted that they had a major fall out with her husband that’s why she did it, as she was relaying this information to me, spirit said yes and he came back for more, I repeated this to the red faced lady she said yes my partner thought it tasted lovely. He asked for some more so I willingly provided more.
Another story comes to mind, and this shows how close spirit are around us and don’t miss a thing, working platform at Slough Spiritualist church, the gentleman in question who was receiving the message was told about backing his car recently in reverse into another car and driving off, yes he shook his head, but spirit are saying you thought no one saw you, with a wry grin on his face he shook his head in agreement again, well they in spirit certainly saw you.


Mark has since those early days developed his gift along with spirit, he serves around eleven or so local and London based churches, traveling over London or out into the suburbs or even further, he also travels to work with spirit abroad and also appears at the Three Mediums Show which is currently being held at The Tower Arms Hotel at Richings Park Iver Buckinghamshire. Marc says the shows are enjoyable as there are a hard core of people who turn up for the shows all the time, it’s nice to see them as all three of us have made friends over time with many of these people, as well as that new people turn up, it is nice to work with spirit and to relay messages on to them that are evidential and tangibly display evidence of survival after death of the human overcoat, yes it is sad when people get upset during a reading, it’s very emotional for the medium, but it’s lovely to see the smile on their face afterwards knowing that they have been assured that their loved one in spirit is well, living and looking after them.


Marc has also worked with some amazing mediums over time who have served spirit, and continue to do so. Each medium has brought there own gift of mediumship and have used it in a sincere way to prove there is no such thing as death, I have enjoyed working with such mediums as Lesley Boeg, Nigel Townsend, Collette Lumsden and Francis ‘Grey Wolf’, not forgetting my old teacher Lin.
